As an emerging wine connoisseur on the scene, I was truly excited to see what wines were on offer.
The menu for drinks isn't up yet but from my recollection, I believe this was imported from Australia and exclusive to Coal Office. It was smooth, light and ever so sweet...absolutely impossible, I'd say one of the most beautiful glasses of wine I've had.
Now for the cocktails. One of the cocktails I had was the Louisa (seen further down).
Garnished with za'atar, a fragrant blend of middle eastern herbs this drink takes you on a unique journey. The Louisa is one of the more sweeter alcoholic drinks on the menu, original in design and brilliant in taste.
Intro: Having visited The Palomar back in May for my friends birthday I was highly excited to dive back into a similar menu and discover new dishes along the way. As the restaurant isn't officially open till September the menu may change ever so slightly as they continue to trial these dishes.
If you saw my insta-story the day I visited you will know how much I enjoyed this heavenly food experience. It was second to none.
FOOD :
Food: Could I eat here for the rest of my life and be content? 200%, but bring me my Caribbean food from time to time, haha. The food for me was a romantic cruise, the flavours were untrue, the pairing of food was astonishing. At this point, you may think I've either lost the plot or exaggerated to infinity-and-beyond, but this was a blessing from above and in no way for the faint-hearted.
I almost cried, that is how beautiful it was for me.
SERVICE:
experience (drink below, Louisa)
Service: The waiters and chefs are the heart and soul of the restaurant. They create such a special environment and atmosphere that is beyond infectious. They are incredibly helpful with the menus and know so much in detail. Another thing, they have a wonderful sense of humour and joy they had everyone singing and dancing and leaving with huge smiles on our faces, what more could you want.

It's been a while, I've missed Y'all! This year has been exciting, to say the least, and busy as usual.
Since my hiatus, I've been to Jamaica, worked on some exciting things and got to dine at one of my new favourite restaurants, Coal Office.
Coal Office is located in Kings Cross's new retailer spot, 'Coal Yard'. A newly built area for shops, restaurants and offices. Coal Office is a creative collaboration between world-renowned chef, Assaf Granit, co-owner of The Palomar and the British interior guru, Tom Dixon.

This was the creme de la creme, the apple of my eye, the moment I began to really sing a new song, no seriously I did. For dessert, I ordered the Rice Pudding, served with mango chutney, lime ice cream and coconut. When I read it on the menu I was intrigued and a little curious so I spoke to the waiter and he informed me it's one of the best desserts and that the rice pudding is fried.
Now the other desserts were unique, gorgeous and had rich elements but I found my winner from the start. Even writing this I'm having major flashbacks. Let me tell you!. It was so good everyone started attacking my plate like an end scene of X-Men until it was almost gone. They didn't stop there, the dish was so hearty they ordered a second one for the table to share, that is how unreal it was. Everything that was good was inside this dish.

JEAU:
final thoughts
10/10 overall experience, 8.5-9/10 food & drink and 10/10 atmosphere.
My final thoughts are when am I returning?, Can I come for the dessert once a week? and, I want this for my birthday. Already had people visit and come back with just as exciting feedback as mine so without saying much more as I'm sure I've said enough just book it.
