LOS ANGELES
SUMMER IN CALIFORNIA
S e p t e m b e r 2 0 16
I spent the end of summer in Toronto & LA...
LA was so inspiring, the architecture was stunning, the art was vibrant and the pace of the city was serene.
From the moment I landed I felt at home.

CALIFORNIA DONUTS:
first bite
First night in LA my friends took me to a Japanese restaurant where I had awesome Miso Soup! It was so filling.
After that it was time for CA Donuts...! They have such cool flavours and styles of donuts. Ones with fruit loops, a cookies & cream panda or my favourite the croissant donut with nutella & banana - LIFE! The queue says it all and yes, it's worth the wait! |
|
ABBOT KINNEY:
shop, eat, drink
Filled will the cutest cafe's, art painted walls and shops! As if we finished yesterday's donuts we
found ourselves in Blue Star Donuts trying a Rosé Hibiscus donut. It was insanely good! |
|
SANTA MONICA:
beach
Santa Monica has a city beach and a lot of entertainment across the pier as well as funfair rides, food stands and merch. We took a stroll a long the beach and then walked along the pier listening to these two guys play Afro beats and some Drake it was live! |
|
3RD STREET PROMENADE:
where you at
3rd Street Promenade - The promenade is right beside Santa Monica Pier. Go shopping, have lunch or pick up a
frozen yogurt at Pink Berry! For all the Sephora lovers you will find one along this strip. |
|
LACMA:
location
LACMA - Los Angeles County Museum Of Art. I took an uber up to the LACMA to meet my friend and see the elaborate architecture it had to offer. With it being a grand museum you can get a ticket to venture inside but I didn't. Depending on what side you come in from at the back of the Museum their is a huge passage tunnel with large stone, white walls. It's the place to grab some pictures with some palm trees around. |
|
THE GETTY CENTER:
location
The Getty Center was one of my favourite places to visit in LA. The drive going towards the museum is stunning. You see all these amazing houses, landscapes and pretty views in general; but nothing quite like the views you get at The Getty Center. Once you arrive they have a shuttle train that transports you to the Center which is free, including the museum. They have exhibitions, things to see and a never ending pool of viewing points that overlook LA. |
